Contemporary Garden Room, Ravelston, Edinburgh

We were commissioned to design a bespoke, high-end garden room for a private client in the Ravelston area of Edinburgh. Set within a conservation area, the project required both full planning consent and a building warrant due to the scale and nature of the proposal.

This contemporary garden structure has been carefully designed to accommodate a fully equipped home gym, a dedicated hot tub area, and discreet garden storage. The hot tub space forms a key feature of the scheme — partially enclosed for privacy while maintaining an open roof, allowing uninterrupted views of the night sky.

The architectural language of the garden room complements its natural surroundings while offering a refined and private retreat within the landscape. Carefully considered materials and detailing enhance the building’s visual quality and longevity, creating a functional yet luxurious space to relax, train, and unwind throughout the year.
