David studied at the Edinburgh College of Art, where he successfully earned a Bachelor of Architecture (Hons) degree in 2002. During his time as a student, he gained valuable experience by working at LeeBoyd Architects, where he began to hone his skills in the field. He became a fully qualified architect in 2004 and has since built a diverse career with notable firms such as LeeBoyd Architects and Yeoman McAllister Architects. David possesses extensive experience in both design and contract management, taking great pleasure in every single stage of the design process, from the initial ideas phase all the way through to construction completion.

Outside of his professional life, David is a devoted father of three children. In his spare time, he enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking in the scenic Pentland Hills, running, and biking.

In 2012, he took a significant step in his career by founding MDA Studio, where he continues to pursue his passion for architecture
