David Moore is a fully qualified architect and the founder of MDA Studio, an architectural practice based in Edinburgh specialising in residential design, house extensions, and home refurbishments across Scotland.

He graduated from the Edinburgh College of Art with a Bachelor of Architecture (Hons) in 2002. During his studies, David gained hands-on experience with LeeBoyd Architects, developing his design skills on real-world residential and commercial projects. He became fully qualified in 2004 and went on to build a diverse career with firms including LeeBoyd Architects and Yeoman McAllister Architects, gaining extensive expertise in both design and contract management.

David takes pride in guiding homeowners through every stage of the design and construction journey — from early concept design and planning applications, right through to construction drawings and on-site delivery. His strength lies in creating architecture that responds thoughtfully to each client’s needs and the unique character of their home.

In 2012, David established MDA Studio, where he continues to help clients across Edinburgh, the Lothians, and beyond to realise the full potential of their homes through bespoke, contemporary design.

Outside of architecture, David is a devoted father of three. He enjoys exploring the Pentland Hills, running, biking, and spending time outdoors.
